The Honda Center is a retrofit Photoluminescent (PL) application. These glow-in-the-dark stair nosings protect the leading edges of the steps and provide an intuitive path for emergency egress of occupants during a power outage resulting in complete darkness. PL strips embedded in the retrofit stair nosings absorb ambient light creating a charge that is emitted as a glow when lights are off.
