    The bars are attached with exterior-grade construction adhesive suitable for the substrate. Because conditions vary, we suggest you contact an adhesive manufacturer.
  • Can stair nosings be radiused? [Hide]
    Because Balco is ISO registered, it is imperative any product we manufacture will meet specific quality standards. Because of the limitations on the capabilities of the extrusions themselves, a quality-manufactured product can not be guaranteed. We continue, however, to research the possibilities.
  • Are custom colors available? [Hide]
    Balco is happy to customize your color selections.
  • Are stair nosings available in a cast-iron finish? [Hide]
    Yes, plus cast aluminum and architectural bronze.
  • What is Saf-T-Glo? [Hide]
    A revolutionary product pioneered by Balco that features glow-in-the-dark abrasive to ensure safety in locations that experience temporary darkness, such as theaters and emergency stairways. The abrasive is self-illuminating and recharges in both artificial and natural lighting.
  • What is the advantage of a two-component stair nosing system? [Hide]
    This system has removable and replaceable top covers. In addition, split shipments are available to allow sub-channels to be cast at the time of concrete pour; abrasive covers are snapped on at the end of construction to ensure a beautiful, clean finish.
